• 4 New York (top loin) pork chops, 3/4-inch thick
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons molasses

Season chops with salt and pepper. Stir together teriyaki sauce and molasses in a small bowl. Place pork over medium-hot coals and grill for 8-9 minutes, basting with sauce in the last few minutes, until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 145 degrees Fahrenheit, followed by a 3-minute rest time.

Serves 4.

If molasses is too sweet for your tailgaters, use ketchup instead. Take along Doctored Beans and your favorite potato salad.
