• 2-3 large tomatoes, ripe, cored and sliced
  • 4-6 leaves basil, fresh, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper, finely ground

Arrange tomatoes and basil leaves in shallow serving bowl. Stir together well the remaining ingredients and pour over tomatoes. Can rest at room temperature for 30 minutes, or be served immediately.
