• 2/3 cup rice, long-grained
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seed
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

In medium saucepan sauté rice and cumin seed in butter until fragrant, about 2 minutes. Add water and salt, bring to boil; lower heat and simmer 12-15 minutes.

Serves 4

This simply seasoned rice includes aromatic cumin seed. Serve rice with Tex-Mex Chops or Pork Pot Stickers and Green Curry-Coconut Sauce. Garnish rice with chopped fresh cilantro.
